Purchasing Manager
This is a unique opportunity to work in the transportation industry as a Purchasing Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing material ordering processes, maintaining product and supplier databases, and managing material requests. They will also need to build strong relationships with internal staff, suppliers, and contractors.
Key responsibilities include:
* Maintaining accurate product, pricing, and supplier databases while staying on top of re-order lists.
* Proactively managing material requests, promptly reordering items based on stock availability.
* Cross-checking pricing with suppliers, ensuring favorable contracts.
* Resolving any issues related to short deliveries, product quality, and other concerns.
Requirements include solid experience in a Purchasing role, advanced computer skills, and expertise in purchasing software packages like MYOB EXO or similar systems. The ideal candidate will also have excellent writing skills, numerical calculations skills, and fluency in English.
