We have an exciting opportunity for a PDHPE Teacher to join our dedicated team at La Salle Academy, Lithgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaboratively developing and delivering high-quality curriculum programs aligned with syllabus requirements, while fostering a nurturing and orderly learning environment for students.
This hybrid role also includes responsibilities as a Pastoral/Wellbeing Coordinator for the right person. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive contribution to our pastoral and wellbeing initiatives and work collaboratively with staff to support and enhance the pastoral care, wellbeing, and overall educational outcomes of our students.
Education
We are seeking an individual who understands and commits to supporting the mission and ethos of Catholic education within the school by:
* Creating a learner-centred, supportive, and cooperative learning environment aligned with curriculum policies.
* Developing and implementing quality curriculum programs using effective teaching methods; assess and report student progress.
* Using inclusive teaching strategies and adapt practices for equitable education.
* Analysing student assessment data to identify learning barriers and encourage improvement.
* Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance student outcomes.
* Collaborating with school leadership, staff, and contribute to school life.
* Providing student supervision and assist in organising extracurricular activities
* Reviewing and evaluating the student wellbeing programs
* Coordinating and overseeing activities which encourage and support the objectives of the school's Pastoral Care program

* Expertise and a passion for leading learning
* Appropriate tertiary qualifications and accreditation to teach in NSW
* Demonstrated ability to use technology to inform, track and report learning
* Highly effective organisational and interpersonal skills
* Ability to contribute to the further development of a self-reviewing and self-improving school culture
* Interest in the coordination of transition events and an ability to manage various stakeholders
* A demonstrated commitment and understanding of the ideals of Catholic Education
