Job Overview:
We are seeking multiple Aboriginal Health Practitioners and Aboriginal Enrolled Nurses to join our team at a regional Aboriginal Medical Service in Broome.
About the Role:
You will work as part of a culturally secure, multidisciplinary team delivering clinical support, preventative health, care coordination, and cultural advocacy for Aboriginal people across the life course.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver culturally safe clinical care aligned with our service model
* Conduct assessments, health checks, chronic disease support, and recall activities
* Support care coordination and implementation of care plans
* Perform delegated clinical tasks such as wound care, screening, and medication support
* Visit homes and community settings to promote independence and wellness
* Collaborate with GPs, nurses, allied health, and community teams
* Promote early engagement, cultural connection, and self-management
* Support quality improvement, clinical audits, and service evaluations
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify, you must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and hold one of the following qualifications:
* Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice) and current AHPRA registration as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner
* Diploma of Nursing with AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
