Overview
Join Gold Coast Private Hospital as a Food Services Assistant. This is a part-time role (approximately 25 hours per week) with experience in food services within a healthcare setting or hospitality preferred. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive team culture.
Vacancies
- 4 x Food Services Assistant
- 1 x Store person / Pot washer (preferably with hotel experience)
Roster and Shifts
- Eligible for a 7-day rotating roster, AM and PM shifts
- AM shift – 5:45am – 14:30pm
- PM shifts – 14:30pm – 21:00pm and 16:30pm – 21:00pm
Responsibilities – Food Services Assistant
- Provide exceptional customer/patient service by preparing and serving food throughout the facility, including setting up, plating, and distributing food and beverages; participate in food safety processes
- Assist in general cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils, including dish and pot washing as required
- Be a valued member of an interdisciplinary team, promoting a professional and positive team culture, communicating and offering help to team members, and liaising with staff to create a positive experience
- Operate with equipment such as food trolleys and carry food trays
Responsibilities – Store Person
- Inventory management – keep track of stock levels to meet hospital demands
- Stock rotation – ensure proper stock rotation to prevent spoilage or expiration
- Maintain Clean, tidy, and uncluttered storage areas for efficient operation and safety
- Clean the cool room floors
- Pot washing
- Provide exceptional service to hospital staff, assisting with queries and resolving inventory-related issues
Essential Criteria
- Authority to Work in Australia
- Experience in Healthcare or hospitality (preferred)
- Working with Children check (if relevant)
- Commitment to service excellence
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Available for on-call shifts
