Behaviour Support Practitioner Role
We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team in the NSW Central Coast region. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering evidence-based support plans that enhance the quality of life for NDIS participants.
The successful candidate will possess current suitability as a Behaviour Support Practitioner at the Core or Proficient level, confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. A degree in an allied health profession is also required. Additionally, excellent time management and organisational skills, a proactive mindset, and a genuine passion for working in the disability sector are essential.
Responsibilities:
* Assessment and Person-Centred Planning: Assist participants and their families/carers to identify needs through assessment and person-centred planning.
* Support Plan Development: Develop and deliver evidence-based support plans that reflect participants' goals, passions, and strengths.
* Positive Behaviour Support: Create meaningful goals and strategies within a positive behaviour support framework, with a commitment to eliminating restrictive practices.
* Collaboration and Communication: Build the knowledge and skills of support networks, including family and carers, and act as an advocate and role model for best practices.
