Role Overview The Aboriginal Mental Health Clinician provides recovery-focused, person-centred, and culturally competent services including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison, advocacy, and review as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role supports both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal clients referred with mental illness, distress, or risk issues.

Selection Criteria Must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, with demonstrated cultural knowledge and community links. Qualifications: Bachelor in Health Science (Mental Health) or relevant registration with AHPRA for nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, or membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers. Ability to provide high-quality, holistic, person-centred care. High-level communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Proficiency in electronic medical records and Microsoft Office. Understanding of mental health and alcohol/drug service strategies, legislation, and policies. Current unrestricted driver's license and willingness to travel.
