Job Responsibilities
As Quality Leader, you will be involved in all production activities, managing the development and workload of line Quality Coordinators and area Senior Quality Coordinators, and providing technical assistance to production execution.
The primary objective is to achieve the production plan in accordance with safety, quality, cost and continuous improvement objectives.
Key Accountabilities
Ensure appropriate quality assurance and quality control activities are undertaken to ensure all product produced is within specification.
Obtain new or updated specifications as required and ensure changes are incorporated into Work Instructions, associated procedures and databases.
Answer any question from production staff that arise which need clarification from product drawings or specifications.
Quality Control of non-conforming products by investigation and analysis, follow-up actions and resolution.
Ensure the teams have the appropriate skill base to efficiently and safely operate as per the Thales Australia Quality Management System policies and procedures.
Matrix manage a function of Quality based staff across the site and product lines.
Recruiting to meet business resourcing needs.
Requirements
You will require:
Experience in leadership and team management.
You will also need:
In-depth knowledge of Quality System Procedures and knowledge of product specifications and drawings.
An understanding of the manufacturing process and the ability to investigate and analyse quality problems.
Knowledge and experience with Australian and International quality standards, e.g. ISO-9001 and AS-1199.
Sound Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and IPESA configuration/document management.
Previous work in a Manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
Good verbal and written communication skills, organisational / time management skills.
