We are looking for a suitably qualified **Community Development Officer** to join the team. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of Glenorchy City Council's Community Strategy key priorities**through place-based initiatives, collaborative partnerships, and inclusive programming.
**The successful applicant will have**:
- ** Minimum of three (3) years' experience** in community development, youth work, or a related field, including experience with planning, reporting, and program evaluation.
- Demonstrated experience in **designing, delivering and evaluating inclusive community and youth programs**, using trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches.
- Strong communication and **stakeholder engagement skills**, with the ability to build partnerships and collaborate effectively across community, government, and service networks.
- Experience in **facilitating meetings**,**working groups, or co-design processes, including working with volunteers.
- Excellent **time management and organisational skills**, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic team environment.
- Demonstrated **problem-solving and decision-making abilities**, including the capacity to recommend and implement practical solutions.
**Qualifications/Licences required**:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in community development, youth work, social sciences or a related discipline.
- Current**Working with Vulnerable People Registration (WWVP).
- Current Driver's Licence.
**Position Hours**:Full-Time, 75 hours fortnight.
