About the role
You will work with a State Government client as a Principal SAP Developer supporting a major SAP S/4HANA transformation program. The role provides senior technical leadership across SAP development within a large, complex enterprise environment. You will work closely with functional, integration, and delivery teams to ensure high-quality outcomes aligned to program objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead SAP S/4HANA development activities aligned to program goals
* Provide hands on technical leadership across custom builds, enhancements, and integrations
* Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders
* Ensure development meets SAP best practice, governance, and quality standards
* Support testing, defect resolution, and deployment activities
* Contribute to technical design decisions and solution optimisation
Highly desirable criteria
* Strong hands on SAP S/4HANA development experience
* Deep experience across SAP development tools such as ABAP, CDS Views, Fiori or UI5, and integrations
* Demonstrated experience operating at a principal or senior technical level
* Proven delivery experience in large scale, complex enterprise environments
Desirable criteria
* Experience delivering SAP S/4HANA transformation programs
* Prior government or public sector experience
* Exposure to procurement or finance related SAP modules
Skills and experience
* Advanced SAP development capability across core S/4HANA technologies
* Strong problem solving and technical decision making skills
* Ability to work effectively with technical and non technical stakeholders
* Strong communication skills across delivery and leadership groups
* Ability to commence ASAP or with minimal notice
