About the Prospect
Azooa is proud to be responding to RFQ PCS-03108 from the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) to provide expert .NET consultancy and development services. We're inviting Expressions of Interest from Australia‐based professionals experienced in Microsoft .NET technologies, to join our proposed delivery team for a 12-month federal government engagement, with a 12-month extension option.

We're actively sourcing .NET professionals at multiple levels to be part of our response to this exciting Federal Government opportunity. All roles are hybrid with flexible work arrangements and are open across all Australian states and territories.
Senior .NET Developer (Mid‐Senior Level)
As a Senior .NET Developer, you'll lead the design and delivery of complex systems for ASIC and mentor a high‐performing team.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise‐grade applications using .NET 6+ / ASP.NET Core
- Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and architectural direction
- Work with cross‐functional teams and integration partners
- Develop RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
- Collaborate with DevOps to streamline CI/CD pipelines and deployments
- Ensure performance, security, and scalability standards are met
- 5+ years' experience in enterprise .NET development (ASP.NET Core, C#)
- Proven experience designing and delivering web APIs, microservices, and integration layers
- Advanced SQL Server knowledge and ORM (e.g., Entity Framework Core)
- Understanding of security protocols and standards in government settings
- Ability to mentor junior team members and lead by example
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Knowledge of Azure/AWS cloud services
- Familiarity with frontend tech (Angular/React)
- Baseline clearance or ability to obtain one
.NET Developer (Mid‐Level)
As a Mid‐Level .NET Developer, you'll be right in the thick of project delivery, building backend systems that support ASIC's operational and regulatory mandates.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain backend services using ASP.NET Core/C#
- Support integration with internal and external systems
- Contribute to API development and database operations
- Write clean, maintainable, and well‐documented code
- Work collaboratively with other developers, testers, and analysts
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support project delivery
- 3+ years of .NET development experience
- Solid grasp of C#, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, and SQL Server
- Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD tools
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Eligible to work and be based in Australia
- Exposure to Azure or AWS
- Frontend or full‐stack knowledge (HTML, JS, React/Angular)
- Understanding of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
Junior .NET Developer (Entry Level)
Just starting out or early in your .NET journey? This is your chance to grow in a secure, high‐performing, and federally focused development team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and testing applications under supervision
- Fix bugs and contribute to enhancement tickets
- Participate in code reviews and documentation
- Learn from experienced developers in real‐time delivery environments
- Support DevOps practices and quality assurance
- Some hands‐on experience with .NET (either through employment, internships, or personal projects)
- Understanding of C#, MVC, and API concepts
- Passion for coding, learning, and contributing to real‐world systems
- Strong communication and team collaboration
- Git knowledge
- Keen interest in government and civic technology
Security & Onboarding Requirements
To be eligible for these roles, you must:
- Be based in Australia (we do not work with overseas staff)
- Be able to start within 4 weeks of notice
- Be eligible to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance
- Provide an up‐to‐date CV within 72 hours of shortlisting
