Lake Macquarie City Council seeks to excel in engagement with the Community and deliver industry leading practices and services.
The Manager Community Partnerships will set the strategic direction and long-term vision for social and recreational services provided by Council.
This role is critical in building and nurturing community and commercial partnerships that enhance our community's lifestyle, social economy, and environment.
The department is responsible for:
* Undertaking engagement initiatives and supporting volunteer programs and networks to leverage the human capital of the city across sporting, recreation, environmental enhancement and protection of natural
* Supporting and enhancing the experience of various priority communities such as children and families, people with disabilities, homelessness, Aboriginal communities and cultural diversity through the development of strategic plans, delivery of programs, advocacy and networking;
* Future focused planning for Council's community facilities; and
* Identify emerging issues within the community and region and align advocacy efforts, with a proactive focus on continuous community empowerment.
You will bring extensive experience with a passion for community engagement and advocacy, with a proven track record in transformative leadership, change management, and guiding large teams through a journey of continuous improvement.
