Lead Business Analyst - Cyber Security Project
We are seeking a hands-on Lead Business Analyst with strong BA foundations, who has worked on several large-scale cybersecurity projects.
This is an opportunity to join a dynamic, enterprise-wide NSW Government environment for the remainder of the year, with potential extensions following. This role could be suitable for someone just rolling off their first major cyber project.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead the delivery of outcomes in a complex cybersecurity project in an enterprise-wide setting, working closely with diverse stakeholders.
* Drive requirements elicitation and translation, ensuring business needs are clearly understood and documented.
* Analyse cyber business requirements across a broad portfolio of initiatives, interpreting and translating analysis results into clear, concise technical specifications and documentation.
* Apply contemporary business analysis best-practice frameworks into the program of work, including AGILE Best practices, BABOK, Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (e.g., UML), and business architecture methodologies (BPM, CBM, capability mapping, etc.).
Key Requirements:
* Extensive experience in business analysis within a couple of complex cyber portfolios, ideally within government or large-scale enterprise environments.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical perspectives.
* Proven ability to develop, implement, and embed consistent BA standards and best practices.
* Experience advising and influencing executive management, ensuring strategic and enterprise objectives alignment.
* Ability to drive process improvements and support transformational change initiatives.
* Familiarity with Agile best practices
