We are seeking a versatile Journalist to join our news team in Newcastle.
* This exciting opportunity offers a diverse brief, consisting of reporting, producing, and sport reading.
* You will be an integral part of a news team covering a vast geographic area.
Your key responsibilities include:
1. Reporting
2. Producing
3. Sport Reading
You will be responsible for crafting compelling stories for the News bulletin, the NBN website, and all social media pages, collaborating closely with experienced regional camera operators across New South Wales.
Key requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Journalism or equivalent
* Experience in television journalism or news
* Confident writing style, on-air presence and ability to package for TV news
* Strong relationship and network building skills
* Seamless and crisp writing and communication skills
* Ability to engage peers, supervisors and interviewees in active, open and productive dialogue; absorbs information and acts accordingly
* Proactive in discussing solutions and raising ideas; builds strong relationships, both internally and externally
