Total Ag Solutions is a growing, multi-branch agricultural services organisation operating across regional NSW. We are seeking a commercially astute and hands‐on Financial Controller to lead out finance and administration function and provide strong financial governance across the business.
This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Director, responsible for both day‐to‐day financial management and broader strategic financial oversight.
About the Role
The Financial Controller will oversee all financial operations across multiple branches and lead the administration team. This role requires a balance of technical accounting expertise, operational commercial acumen, and strong internal controls to support business growth and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee end‐to‐end financial operations across multiple branches
* Manage accounts payable and treasury functions and oversee accounts receivable
* Monitor and manage cash flow
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory obligations
* Prepare monthly management reports and financial analysis for the Director
* Oversee tax compliance including BAS, IAS and statutory reporting
* Liaise with external accountants, advisors and banking partners
* End‐to‐end payroll
* Human Resources function and maintain employee records
* Oversee and coordinate external technology, software and equipment providers
* Identify cost‐saving initiatives and operational efficiencies
* Lead and mentor the administration team
* Assist with general office support requirements and/or delegating as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role
* Strong technical accounting capability
* Experience operating within multi‐branch or multi‐entity environments
* Demonstrated ability to manage cash flow in dynamic business conditions
* Experience working closely with external accountants and auditors
* High‐level analytical and reporting skills
* Strong leadership and people management capability
* A hands‐on approach with the ability to operate strategically and operationally
