We are seeking experienced Mainframe Software Developers to join a collaborative team focused on innovation, quality, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain COBOL-based applications in a z/OS mainframe environmentWrite and optimise complex SQL queries for DB2 for z/OSIntegrate COBOL applications with DB2 databases and IBM MQ messaging systemsManage user access and system security using RACFParticipate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuningCollaborate with testers, analysts, and DevOps engineersContribute to system documentation and knowledge sharingSupport continuous improvement and modernisation efforts using Micro Focus tools
Required Experience
COBOL (e.g., IBM COBOL for z/OS)DB2 for z/OS and SQL query optimisationDB2 utilities (LOAD, UNLOAD, REORG)COBOL-DB2 integrationRACF for user profile management and access controlIBM MQ for message queue integrationz/OS environment tools: JCL, TSO/ISPF, VSAM file handling
Preferred Experience/Qualifications
