We have provided years of logistics services including export and import services as well as transportation and warehouse solutions to our large client base.We now have an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Export Officer, with demonstrated perishables experience, to join our Perishables team in Chipping Norton, Sydney.
In this role, you will be overseeing export processes in the Perishables department, with a focus on both Air and Sea Freight Export.
Responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of all aspects relating to export of perishable commodities to ensure relevant regulations and compliance are met while maintaining product integrity throughout the export process.
The ideal candidate will have a background in logistics or freight forwarding and strong understanding and experience with air and ocean export processes.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage and coordinate the export process for perishable goods, including documentation, shipping arrangements, and compliance with international trade regulations.Compliance duties – fumigation, obtaining health certificates, liaising with Dept of Home Affairs and Department of Agriculture.Ensure timely and accurate preparation of all export documentation, including invoices, certificates of origin, and department certificates.Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, and internal transport department to arrange transportation to ensure timely delivery of perishable goods.Maintain robust long-term relationships with clients, overseas agents, air and shipping lines, and internal stakeholders.Monitoring and ensuring the integrity of perishable goods throughout the export process, including proper handling, storage, and transportation conditions.Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and suppliers, keeping them informed of shipment status and any potential delays or issues.Co-coordinating and working closely with cross-functional teams, including warehouse and transport teams, to ensure seamless coordination.Completing any additional tasks as requested by management on an as-needed basis.Key Skills & RequirementsMinimum 2 years' experience in freight forwarding.Experience in export air or ocean freight and perishables (preferred)Experience using Cargowise (preferred)Excellent communication and organization skillsGood time management and attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and adapt to changing prioritiesBachelor's Degree (Ideally in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field)Application QuestionsWhich of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
