Overview
The U.S. Embassy in Australia is looking for a Resource Coordination Assistant to support the Public Diplomacy (PD) Section and help coordinate the administrative, logistical, and financial elements behind our public engagement programs.
This role is essential to ensuring PD activities run smoothly by providing program support, coordinating resources, and managing key administrative functions.
Responsibilities
* Supporting PD teams in implementing public diplomacy programs and activities
* Assisting with grants administration and tracking PD budgets and expenditures
* Coordinating administrative processes including travel, vouchers, representation, and time & attendance
* Managing program calendars and procurement/property coordination
* Serving as the primary point of contact for the PD Section and providing high-quality customer service to visitors
* Advising staff on standards and policies for digital engagement and the use of online platforms
What we're looking for
* At least two years of post-secondary study at college or university
* Three years of experience in administrative services, procurement, customer service, or events management
* Fluent English (reading, writing, and speaking)
* A current driver's license held for at least five years
