The Flight Training Courseware Specialist will be a 737 Flight Training Development Subject Matter Expert, who leads in identifying customer technical training needs and requirements and develops flight training curriculum for Boeing commercial airplanes. In this role, you will lead in evaluating and determining training objectives, content, design, and technologies. Prepares briefing/debriefing presentations, lesson plans, and training manuals for type, recurrent, differences, and specialty training for Boeing internal and external customer use.
This Flight Training Courseware Specialist researches, develops, delivers, and evaluates effectiveness of technical training. Included in this role is the opportunity to develop and provide recommendations on training standards and specifications. You will have the opportunity to travel internationally to participate in tryouts of draft training curriculum in simulator devices.
This is a fully virtual role, with international travel to participate in tryouts of draft training curriculum in simulator devices expected up to 20% of the time. As this role is part of a global team, there will be an expectation to attend out of hours meetings with your peers and various stakeholders, however, with this comes much flexibility.
Responsibilities:
Develops flight training courseware
Defines standard and customer specific training requirements and develops proposals to satisfy requirements
Analyze training requirements to provide technical content to support learning objectives
Review courseware, instructor materials, and supporting documentation for technical accuracy
Analyze training effectiveness to ensure training effectiveness and inform courseware revisions
Review comments and collaborate with team to reconcile conflicting inputs
Researches and evaluates training delivery methods for incorporation into new and existing courseware
Ensures technical accuracy of flight training courseware
Required Skills/Experience:
Commercial pilot license with international and transoceanic flight experience
Current FAA ATP or EASA ATPL or other international equivalent
Current B737 type rating
Experience as a pilot with 737 experience or as an instructor on any type of Boeing aircraft
Desired Skills/Experience
Bachelor Degree or equivalent, in aviation or education beneficial but not essential
Experience developing Crew Resource Management or Competency Based Training Assessment
Minimum 1000 hours of flight instructor time preferred
