About The Role
The Administration Officer will be part of the Radiation Oncology New Patient Team. This position is responsible for managing incoming referrals, registering new patients, coordinating and scheduling appointments, along with assisting the wider team as directed by the Admin Team Lead to deliver a timely and high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide administration, effective completion of tasks and customer service as part of the Radiation Oncology Administration Team service delivery. Including but not limited to front line customer service to patients as part of our Front Reception team, undertaking administrative processes for referral management, making new patient appointments and treatment review appointments as part of our Patient Bookings teams.
* Show flexibility and a commitment to various tasks and roles to allow efficient rostering of the administration team meet the administration service needs of the department.
* The Administration Officer takes pride and ownership for the quality of the work that they perform and are responsible for at all times.
* Provide cover and be rostered to other administration roles to support planned and unplanned leave as required.

* Demonstrated competence in administrative skills and general office procedures.
* Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and experience.
* Demonstrated excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated computer and general literacy with accurate keyboard and data entry skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work proficiently in periods of high demand and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to work unsupervised with excellent time management skills.
* Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality in respect of hospital matters for patients and staff.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience in patient administration systems such as ARIA, iPM and CAP.
