Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join a diverse and dynamic procurement team in a fast-paced industry.
The successful candidate will play a key role in bringing together strategic procurement and framework objectives to deliver value for money to the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership and direct management in developing strategic procurement strategies with key business stakeholders;
* Manage category portfolios, ensuring supplier and contract performance aligns with procurement strategy and delivers value for money and negotiated benefits;
* Review and analyze spend data to offer insights and strategies that address spending behaviors and achieve commercial outcomes;
* Practice effective Supplier Relationship Management by setting positive expectations, tracking performance, and identifying improvement opportunities;
* Continuously review local supplier arrangements and contracts to enhance supply chain practices and maximize value;
* Lead continuous improvement projects in the Procurement and Supply Chain function using data-driven insights to develop market approach packages and efficiency innovations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous experience in strategic procurement/capital project procurement, supply chain, category management, and leadership;
* Demonstrated ability to manage sourcing activities (particularly with civil, mechanical, and electrical outcomes), including for larger contracts (>$10m);
* Sound knowledge of contract law/commercial negotiation;
* Previous experience utilizing procurement/inventory management systems;
* Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, stakeholder management, influencing, and collaboration skills, including the ability to consult and negotiate with a broad range of stakeholders.
* Leadership skills, including potential previous management of direct staff.
