The purpose of the Sales Consultant is to provide exceptional customer service in order to achieve sales and gross profit targets. You will also deliver an outstanding customer experience to enhance the desire of the customer to purchase their flooring from Choices Flooring Cairns
Responsibilities & Duties
* Managing the Sales Floor.
* Maintain a high standard of store presentation.
* Assist customers visiting store by following standard sales process.
* Provide informed advice and solutions to customer's needs.
* Provide information about warranties, manufacturing specifications, care and maintenance of product and delivery options.
* Carry out measures for customers.
* Produce accurate job costing for each customer order.
* Provide quote for customer and bring sale to conclusion.
Developing Customer Base
* Follow customer follow up procedures.
* Pursue all sales leads to completion.
* Achieve sales and profit targets set.
Project Management
* Order stock and book layers associated with job.
* Manage installation dates / times with Store Manager.
* Manage preparation of floor covering and
dispatch on day of installation.
* Ensure completion of installation sheets prior to the commencement of works.
Sales Administration
* Accurately maintain all customer data in database.
* Maintain Store Measure Diary.
* Maintain Customer Sample Register.
* Maintain Daily Banking Records in collaboration with Administration.
* Maintain Price Ticketing in collaboration with Administration.
* Assist with Inventory Stock take.
Work Standards
* Complete Customer Details forms for every prospective customer.
* Follow up and communicate clearly with customer enquires in a timely manner.
* Send out and follow up of quotes in a timely manner of 48 hours.
* Be punctual for measure and quotes.
* Fill out paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
* Ensure job costings are accurate.
* Achieve required sales, gross profit and conversion targets.
Performance Expectations
It is expected the person filling this role will be able to achieve the following:
* Achieve consistent weekly / monthly Sales.
* To learn the BOS / Measure Square estimating online system and demonstrate continuous improvement.
* Ensuring quotes are delivered and communicated to the client within a 48-hour period.
Experience, Skills & Personal Qualities
* Sales experience in homewares, retail, construction & commercial flooring would be an advantage.
* Interior decoration experience and skill would be an advantage.
* Effective & clear command of the English language.
* Professional, friendly and outgoing personality due to daily interactions with all customer types
* Ability to work closely with a small team.
* Attention to detail, you will be required to accurately draw floor plans, complete job costings & sales paperwork.
* Ability to work under pressure when required
* A drive to achieve results and continuous improvements across all applicable sectors of the business.
