About The Role
Working as part of a vibrant interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the provision of leave cover backfill for music therapy services across the inpatient unit, community palliative care service, day centre, outpatient clinic, and outreach programs.
Your main duties will include:
* Assessing music therapy needs and provide music therapy intervention.
* Work in collaboration with patients, families, other health professionals and services to help people live well with illness, aging, dying and grief.
* Professionally documenting and communicating with team members regarding patient care.
About You
* Experience in palliative care, progressive neurology and/or aged care
* Strong musical skills across a broad range of genres
* Knowledge and experience in audio recording and online music therapy
* A commitment to collaboration, teamwork, and consumer participation
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Tertiary qualification in music therapy
* Registration with the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA)
* A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
