About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead and optimise day-to-day sales operations across workshop, mobile service, and warehouse functions. You will act as the critical link between customers and internal teams, ensuring service standards are consistently delivered while driving revenue growth, workflow efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

This role combines hands-on sales leadership, operational coordination, and strategic oversight, with responsibility for people, processes, performance reporting, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Operations & Customer Management

* Lead and manage day-to-day sales operations supporting workshop, mobile service, and warehouse teams
* Ensure consistent execution of Hosepower service standards across all customer touchpoints
* Oversee customer account management, including pricing structures, service levels, and supply arrangements
* Coordinate closely with operations, service managers, and warehouse teams to align customer needs with operational capability
* Monitor sales workflows and conversion processes to ensure timely follow-up, clear communication, and efficient job progression
* Conduct regular customer engagement focused on service performance, issue resolution, continuous improvement, and sales growth
* Act as a key interface between customers and internal teams to manage expectations, resolve issues, and minimise operational risk

Commercial, Reporting & Planning

* Prepare and review monthly operational sales reports including workload forecasting, pipeline visibility, and resource demand
* Support planning and implementation of marketing and promotional activities aligned with capacity and strategic priorities
* Maintain strong working knowledge of Hosepower product ranges and supplier capabilities to support accurate quoting and service delivery
* Support inventory awareness and pricing matrix reviews in collaboration with warehouse and finance teams
* Ensure compliance with Hosepower policies, procedures, and quality systems across all sales-related activities

Staff Leadership & Performance

* Manage and report on internal and external sales team quotes, sales orders, and invoices
* Lead weekly sales meetings to review performance, opportunities, and priorities
* Manage the Business Development team, structuring sales calls and developing KPIs to grow customer base, revenue, and profitability
* Work closely with the Service Manager on project quoting, ensuring customers are kept fully informed on progress and costs
* Lead customer service by example, embedding a culture of "if we don't stock it, we will find it" and "hoses while you wait" to deliver a second-to-none customer experience

Safety

* Maintain high standards of Workplace Health & Safety compliance.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring strong commercial acumen, operational discipline, and a genuine passion for customer service, supported by proven leadership capability.

* High-level knowledge of the hydraulic industry or a closely aligned industrial environment
* Demonstrated experience in management roles, leading teams and driving accountability
* Proven track record of business growth, revenue expansion, and customer retention
* Ability to identify specific customer needs and deliver value-added, leading-edge solutions
* Strong, demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
* Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to balance growth of existing accounts while developing new business
* Self-motivated with a proactive, solutions-focused and "can-do" mindset
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
* Confident user of the Microsoft suite, with the ability to adopt and effectively utilise various technology platforms and social media tools
* Proven ability to collaborate across multiple business departments to achieve shared commercial and operational goals
