There is now an opportunity for an experienced General Manager to join the business and take the reigns on this successful, established and fast-growing civil construction business. Our goal is to become the largest installer of retaining walls on the East Coast of Australia. As part of this plan, you will be overseeing the development, implementation and management of all aspect of the construction process from estimating & tenders, the construction phase and follow up and reviews. We are looking for a self-motivated and hands-on General Manager to oversee and implement effective business strategies, programs and outcomes.

The general manager should account for all business activities, support staff development, enhance efficiency, drive sales and improve revenue, maintain relationships with clients, enhance the organisation's reputation, and meet overall growth objectives.
About the Position
This hands on role will include site visits to work with staff, contractors & clients directly. Duties for the general manager will include allocating budgeted resources, formulating policies, coordinating business operations, leading & managing staff & contractors, operational cost control, customer service, improving installation & workflow processes, actively managing contracts & suppliers, identifying business opportunities, and ensuring safety & financial outcomes.
About you
* Minimum 5 years experience in a similar professional role with a deep understanding of managing across multiple projects
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, Business or Construction Management qualifications related discipline will be considered favourably
* Excellent communication skills, financial acumen and the ability to prepare management reports
