Working in a small, dynamic team, you will blend grassroots workforce engagement with strategic support to senior leaders, fostering a culture of respect, professionalism, and ethical practice for the workforce of today and the future.
This Brisbane-based role involves providing expert guidance to senior leaders, particularly as they welcome new staff to the Lockyer Valley Correctional Centre.
The Workforce Culture, Integrity and Capability (WCIC) division of Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) offers high-level guidance and capability across the agency to meet mandated deliverables. This division leads the design and implementation of a culture change program aligned with the QCS Culture Framework 2024-2028, focusing initially on high-risk, high-value deliverables within the Culture Action Plan 2024-26.
The AO7 Principal Consultant, Culture and Leadership, will build tactical relationships with line management and design, deliver, and implement programs aligned with the Culture Action Plan, including leadership capability development.
The role emphasizes partnership to build a resilient and capable workforce.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain relationships to ensure Culture Program initiatives are aligned with organizational success.
* Gather strategic intelligence on potential systemic issues.
* Research, assess, and analyze information using elicitation techniques.
* Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand workforce issues and co-design innovative solutions.
* Review, develop, and implement strategies, policies, and procedures related to organizational culture and development.
Formal qualifications in human behavior, organizational psychology, coaching, or related disciplines are not mandatory but are highly regarded.
