The EL1 DevOps Engineer (Labour Hire) is responsible for undertaking complex work that delivers quality outcomes across the NDIA functions, exercising independence and sound decision-making. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, managing relationships, and representing NDIA in various forums.
Locations include VIC (Geelong & Richmond), ACT (Deakin), QLD (Brisbane), NSW (Surry Hills), and WA (Perth). A supplier briefing is scheduled for Tuesday, 4th March at 3:30 pm AEDT, with details posted in the RFQ Q&A section.
The rate should reflect the candidate’s skills and experience, with potential for negotiation. Only Australian citizens are eligible, and relevant licenses are required in ACT, VIC, and QLD.
Key duties include designing, deploying, and supporting cloud and data infrastructure; prioritizing work; ensuring best practices; collaborating on project requirements; and working within an agile framework. Responsibilities are based on current priorities and may evolve.
Candidates must respond to each criterion, limited to 3000 characters each:
1. Extensive hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services
2. Experience with DevOps practices, tools, and pipelines like GitLab, Artifactory, Jira
3. Experience with Infrastructure as Code, e.g., Terraform
4. Experience with version control systems and agile methodologies
5. Experience with containerization, clustering, and orchestration like Docker and Kubernetes
6. Database deployment and administration (Postgres, MySQL)
7. Azure Infrastructure administration
8. Networking, Cloudflare, Hashicorp Vault experience
9. Building and managing PKI
