About the Role
Council is currently recruiting for an experienced and innovative leader to Manage our Water and Sewer network. Reporting to the Executive Director Infrastructure and Development, and leading a small team of water and sewer operators, you will provide technical and administrative management for the Water/Sewerage Services across the Uralla Shire.
You will ensure relevant licenses, regulatory guidelines and reporting is maintained including administrative and reporting tasks in accordance with Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) requirements, and lead the continuing implementation of the Water/Sewerage Strategic Business Management Plan.

About You
Our ideal candidate will hold relevant civil engineering or science qualifications and have well-established industry experience. Excellent interpersonal and verbal communications, coupled with well-developed planning and contract management skills will enable your success in this position. You will be experienced in leading high performing teams, drive performance outcomes and achieve results within a highly regulated operating environment.
You will have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of:
1. management and practices in water treatment to potable standards and the storage, reticulation and connection of supply properties
2. the treatment of effluent and management of sewage treatment systems and statutory requirements.
