FOOD TECHNOLOGIST/ QUALITY ASSURANCE
Our food manufacturing company has been established for thirty five years and has an excellent reputation for its innovation and quality within the foodservice industry. We produce an extensive variety of meals, and a range of fingerfoods and desserts that are sold direct and through foodservice.
This is an exciting role within our company and we are looking for a confident and experienced food technologist who is an expert at multi-tasking
The position is part time: 2 days a week. Days and hours are flexible.
The successful applicant will -
* Possess relevant food industry qualifications and experience.
*Have thorough knowledge of HACCP and be experienced in HACCP procedures.
*Drive GMP improvement and overall QA improvement.
*Train and advise staff in maintaining quality standards and systems.
*Have experience and be up to date with all food labelling requirements and nutritional information. Knowledge of the Foodworks Program would be an advantage.
*Develop and maintain product specifications including calculating nutritional information.
*Have sound analytical and problem solving skills.
*Be 'hands-on' and be able to work well with minimum supervision in a multi-task environment.
*Be able to relate to staff and customers on all levels.
*Have experience with third party audits.
