Job Description
We are looking for an additional Crew Member/Leading Hand to be part of our FH surfacing team based out of our Mowbray depot.
Responsibilities
* Operate mobile plant such as rollers, skid steers, and heavy rigid trucks (advantageous).
* Perform road work maintenance, construction, and safe operation near live traffic.
* Lead toolbox meetings, pre‐starts, risk assessments, and project‐specific data capture.
* Conduct inspections of assets connected to the maintenance contract.
* Carry out asphalt laying duties including shovelling and raking.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Availability to work overtime, weekends, and nights when required.
* Current drainage experience preferred but not essential.
* Asphalting industry experience preferred but not essential.
* General earthworks/pipe‐laying experience preferred but not essential.
* Competence with skid steers, rollers, and excavators.
* Prior experience in a team‐lead or supervision role beneficial.
* Construction induction card.
* HR, HC or MR truck licence.
* Current driver's licence (essential).
