Universal Marble & Granite are currently seeking a skilled and motivated CNC / Waterjet Operator to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with advanced technology and premium materials in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate CNC and/or Waterjet cutting machines for stone fabrication
* Interpret technical drawings and job specifications accurately
* Program machines using relevant software
* Set up and load stone slabs for precise cutting (vacuum lifters, overhead crane)
* Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment
* Collaborate with the production team to ensure quality and efficiency
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience operating CNC and Waterjet machines in the stone industry or similar
* Stonemasonry background or trade qualification preferred
* Strong understanding of stone materials such as marble, granite, quartz, porcelain, and sintered stone
* Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and CAD files
* Attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship
* Forklift license (preferred but not essential)
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
