We are seeking reliable and responsible individuals to join our team as Egg Collectors across multiple of our farms. In this role, you will collect, grade, and pack eggs in a timely and efficient manner while strictly following biosecurity protocols to ensure the health and safety of the flock. This position is 5 days per week and requires flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.
Responsibilities:
* Collect eggs from nesting boxes or conveyor belts
* Sort and grade eggs based on size, colour, and quality
* Pack eggs into cartons or trays for shipping
* Maintain cleanliness and organization in the egg collection area
* Follow biosecurity protocols to prevent the spread of disease
* Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor
Requirements:
* Must be comfortable handling live chickens
* Must be comfortable working around deceased chickens
* Must not keep birds, pigs, or chickens at home (biosecurity requirement)
* Long-term visa holders accepted (minimum 2 years remaining)
* Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
* Commitment to following biosecurity protocols to ensure flock health and safety
* Physical ability to lift and carry heavy trays of eggs
