Overview
Intrax Consulting Engineers are an Australian owned, mid-sized engineering company that provide an end-to-end service to our clients across a range of services including Structural, Civil, Residential, Building Services, Forensic, Surveying and Geotechnical Engineering. We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Housing team in Adelaide. Position open for candidates with 3+ years' experience in the field, regardless of engineering background.
Responsibilities
* Overseeing the delivery of timely, high-quality solutions in the residential housing market, including single-storey, double-storey, transportable, and pole-frame designs.
* Producing and reviewing designs, including site plans, drainage plans, and other associated documentation.
* Reviewing and providing guidance on peers' engineering reports and documentation to ensure quality control and skill development.
* Managing client interactions, including setting meeting agendas, capturing minutes, and monitoring orders and feedback.
* Attending site meetings with stakeholders, including builders, homeowners, and contractors, as required.
* Maintaining proactive and effective communication with all stakeholders, including engineers, Intrax staff, builders, footing contractors, and local councils.
Qualifications
* At least 3 years of experience in volume housing.
* Experience in the design of residential/low rise structural buildings.
* Experience in design using timber structures, reinforced concrete, and steel structures, including waffle, raft, suspended slab, and retaining wall designs.
* Proficient in engineering design software such as ClearCalcs, Space Gass, Toolkit; Inducta and RAPT are advantageous.
* Ability to build rapport with clients and project stakeholders.
* Advanced ability to interpret Australian standards and building codes, and design in accordance with AS2870, AS1684, AS1170, AS3600, AS4100, NCC, etc.
