Purpose: The Affiliate Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day management, optimisation, and strategic development of affiliate marketing programs across a diverse portfolio of clients. This role ensures tactical and technical excellence across affiliate platforms, strengthens partner relationships, drives measurable performance outcomes, and contributes to broader team capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Affiliate Program Management Manage the end-to-end operations of affiliate programs, including onboarding, communication, and performance oversight of affiliate partners, influencers, and publishers. Build, launch and optimise affiliate offers, landing pages, and commission structures aligned to client goals and KPIs. Ensure accurate tracking and measurement through correct pixel implementation, UTM usage, and platform tagging. Monitor pacing, partner performance and channel health to maintain ROI-positive outcomes. Identify tactical and technical improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and program quality. Partner Acquisition and Relationship Development Recruit, evaluate, and negotiate with new affiliates, influencers, and strategic partners. Maintain strong relationships with high-value partners, ensuring regular communication, performance feedback, and collaborative planning. Develop and manage partner segmentation, tiered incentives, and promotional calendars to drive incremental growth. Ensure alignment with brand guidelines, compliance standards, and legal requirements across all partner touchpoints. Performance Analysis and Optimisation Analyse affiliate and partner performance using platform data, attribution models, and ROI measurement techniques. Identify trends, growth opportunities, and potential risks across the affiliate ecosystem. Lead A/B testing of creatives, landing pages, and partner-specific promotions to enhance conversion and engagement. Produce clear, data-driven performance reports that translate technical insights into actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders and clients. Troubleshoot issues collaboratively with peers, problem-solve tracking or performance discrepancies, and support continuous improvement. Client Partnership and Communication Clearly communicate program performance, optimisation recommendations, and technical concepts to immediate team members and clients. Align affiliate strategies with client goals, industry context, and commercial outcomes. Collaborate with Account Management to identify blockers, opportunities, and long-term scaling initiatives. Support client conversations with insights on attribution, incremental lift, partner contribution, and compliance status. Team Collaboration & Contribution Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Creative, Performance, and Account Management to deliver integrated marketing outcomes. May mentor junior staff or offshore team members, providing technical guidance and process support. Actively contribute to audits, best-practice development, and knowledge-sharing sessions across the team. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities aligned with skills and capability as required to support broader team and business objectives. Participate in paired working arrangements to problem-solve, quality-check work, and enhance team capability. Experience You'll Bring: 2–3 years experience in affiliate marketing, partnerships, digital marketing or a related field within an agency or high-growth environment. Strong understanding of affiliate networks, tracking technology, attribution models, and partner management workflows. Experience managing multiple partners across influencers, publishers, media buyers, and content creators. Demonstrated success driving measurable revenue growth through partner optimisation and offer development. Familiarity with affiliate networks (e.g., Impact, Commission Factory, Partnerize, Awin, CJ, Rakuten Advertising), tracking systems, UTMs, and analytics tools. Skills and Competencies: Proficient specialist knowledge in affiliate marketing with working understanding of related digital disciplines. Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data, diagnose issues, and recommend solutions. Effective communicator able to simplify technical concepts for internal teams and clients. Confident in managing relationships, negotiating value, and maintaining partner engagement. Detail-oriented with high accuracy across tracking, reporting, and execution. Self-directed, able to work independently on defined projects while managing multiple deadlines. Collaborative team member with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and knowledge sharing. Aligns with company values and demonstrates commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Key Relationships: Internal: Account Management, Creative, Performance, Strategy and broader delivery teams. External: Affiliate partners, influencers, publishers, network representatives, and client-side stakeholders. Measures of Success: Strong operational management of affiliate programs with minimal errors across tracking, setup, and reporting. Demonstrated growth in partner performance, revenue contribution, and return on investment. Clear, actionable reporting that communicates insights, performance trends, and optimisation recommendations. High-value partnerships nurtured with strong retention, engagement and compliance adherence. Successful implementation of A/B tests, offer enhancements, and tiered incentive strategies. Effective collaboration with internal teams and positive client feedback on communication and technical clarity. Proactive recommendation and implementation of tactical or technical improvements. Contributions to team capability uplift through mentoring, paired working, and collaborative problem-solving.
