About the Role:
As the
Leisure and Activities Coordinator
, you'll play a key role in enhancing the quality of life and wellbeing of aged residents at Karoonda Hospital. In this rewarding position, you'll plan, deliver, and oversee a diverse range of programs and activities that promote enjoyment, engagement, and purpose for residents.
You'll ensure all activities are resident-focused, well-organised, and responsive to individual needs, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for residents and their families. This role also involves maintaining accurate records, publishing monthly activity calendars, and supporting other staff and volunteers to deliver meaningful experiences.
By combining creativity, compassion, and organisation, you'll make a lasting difference in residents' daily lives while contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture.
What We're Looking For:
Completed or working toward completion AQF Certificate III relevant to the position.
Proven experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day to day execution of a position.
Experience in the provision of a direct care service in a health related field.
Experience in dealing with aged, frail or disabled persons.
Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel.

Applicant Information
This is a part time vacancy, working 45 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements:
DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check

Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A
