The Position
The Manager, Future Students (Domestic) provides strategic and operational leadership across domestic student recruitment, marketing, communications and events. The role leads the design, development and delivery of high-impact engagement initiatives, including large-scale events, outreach activities and integrated marketing campaigns.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across the University, the position contributes to the development and implementation of recruitment strategies aligned to institutional priorities. The role is responsible for leading complex projects and initiatives, overseeing campaign performance, and ensuring activities are evidence-based and outcomes-focused.
The Manager oversees team operations, including events, digital communications, web and social media, and student recruitment campaigns. The position also manages budgets, monitors performance against targets, and provides strategic reporting and insights to support decision-making.
The Person
You are an experienced leader with a strong background in marketing, communications and/or events, ideally within a complex organisation. You bring demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic initiatives, with the ability to translate insights and data into effective recruitment strategies.
You have proven people management skills, with the ability to lead, coach and motivate a team to deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills enable you to make informed decisions and provide trusted advice to senior stakeholders.
You are an excellent communicator, confident engaging with diverse audiences and delivering presentations, and skilled in building collaborative relationships across organisational boundaries. Experience in higher education and student recruitment will be highly regarded.

Future Students (Domestic) sits within the International and Future Students portfolio and is responsible for delivering strategies and initiatives that attract and recruit domestic students across all levels of study. The team leads key marketing, communications and engagement activities, including major events, outreach programs and digital campaigns, working closely with stakeholders across the University.

It brings together expertise across student recruitment, admissions, student administration and support services to enhance the student lifecycle from enquiry through to graduation.
