About the role
We are seeking a passionate and flexible First Aid Trainer to join our team.
In this role, you will deliver and assess a range of accredited first aid courses, supporting diverse communities across urban, regional, and remote locations. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, engaging learning experiences that support positive outcomes for every participant.
This is a permanent part-time position, with flexibility in working days and the opportunity to travel across Tasmania as required. The role will also include supporting non‐accredited training, kit and equipment management (including stock control and maintenance), and other operational duties as needed.
What you will bring
* Confident and adaptable communication skills, with the ability to engage learners across a range of delivery formats (face‐to‐face, virtual, and blended)
* Strong presentation and facilitation skills, creating engaging and supportive learning environments
* Demonstrated current experience in a health, emergency response, or first aid‐related field
* Strong attention to detail, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and high‐quality delivery standards
* Highly organised, with strong time management and administrative capability
* Flexibility to travel across Tasmania, including regional locations
* Flexibility with working days to support operational needs
* A current TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
* Current Australian Driver's Licence
* Working with Children Check
* Experience delivering to a diverse range of clients across industries and environments
* Understanding of ASQA compliance requirements
* Current first aid qualifications (e.g. HLTAID011 or higher)
* Experience in wilderness, remote, or outdoor first aid settings
* Ability to deliver specialised or higher‐level first aid training (highly regarded)

This role is covered by the Educational Services (Post‐Secondary Education) Award 2020, Level 9. Salary from $75,672.68 FTE (pro‐rata for part‐time) + superannuation, plus access to salary packaging.
