About the Role

AECOM has been a leader in water system services across ANZ for decades, focusing on innovation and emerging technologies. We specialise in asset management and offer comprehensive planning, design, and construction for water infrastructure. From irrigation to raw water assets, we optimise efficiency, increase ROI, and reduce costs. Trusted by municipal water companies, we ensure safe drinking water, sanitation, and environmental protection. Our solutions – ranging from urban flood protection to hydroelectricity – help create climate‑resilient, water‑sensitive cities that benefit both people and the planet.


How you'll make a difference

Be involved in the design on various water infrastructure projects including networks, wastewater treatment plant upgrades and renewals. Enjoys and works well in a team environment but also autonomously. Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Liaise with clients, suppliers and industry specialists. Has a growth mindset, managing simple problem solving and working through collaboratively to manage complex problems.


Qualifications

The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role.

* Final year student or recent graduate in Civil Engineering.
* Strong interest in water.
* Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
* Great communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
