Gungahlin Gymnastics is seeking applications for a casual Receptionist / Administration Officer to be part of our dynamic administration team. This is a casual position during active school term time for the weekdays Monday to Friday for our busiest period of 3pm – 6.45pm. There is potential for a job share arrangement with this role if suitable candidates are available for only 2 – 3 of the 5 days we require. There is also the potential for limited hours during school holiday periods.
This is a customer facing role and involves significant interaction with our member families, parents, gymnasts, visitors, coaches and Floor Managers. As a customer facing role, it is critical that applicants are comfortable engaging with all ages and professionally handling enquiries, resolving concerns and answering queries. High level interpersonal skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure and think on your feet is necessary to succeed.
This role specifically services the office at our Lysaght Street facility during our busy afternoon sessions – serving customers, processing sales and payments, assisting with enquiries, supporting coaches and Floor Managers with on the floor operations and undertaking back end administration duties. A high level of computer literacy is required as all systems that run our administration are online / in the cloud and a strong ability to communicate in clear English verbally and in written communications is key.

General Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Provide a friendly, approachable and supportive reception environment for our families, gymnasts and coaches. Handle general queries re classes, timetable, waiting lists etc from families.
2. Perform daily administration duties such as answering emails, processing enrolments, accepting payments, managing reception desk, selling merchandise and coordinating communications with families.
3. Being the first point of contact for the club via phone during set hours.
4. Assist in the management of our waiting lists and class enrolments with Management.
5. Acting as the First Aid Officer on site during classes and managing the completion of injury report forms and follow up with parents.
6. Provide support to the Floor Managers for behaviour / sickness / injury escalations, assisting with class management as required and speaking with parents / guardians as required to facilitate full participation in classes.
7. Assist in maintaining a clean and safe facility particularly in the waiting area / toilets / entry areas and providing light cleaning to these areas on a daily basis.
8. Other general administrative tasks and ad-hoc tasks as directed by Management.

Salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant with pay as per the casual rate within the Fitness Industry Award. The level within the award will be determined based on experience of the applicant.
