Your new roleLead the daily delivery of waste, cleaning and city presentation services across activity centres, precincts and public spaces. This role ensures high service standards, supports strategic waste initiatives and contributes to a cleaner, safer community.
* Lead and motivate the City Presentation team to deliver waste, cleaning and presentation services.
* Support recruitment, induction, training and performance management.
* Oversee shop and precinct cleaning, litter removal, small‐scale graffiti removal and issue reporting.
* Assist with hands‐on service delivery and safely operate plant and equipment when required.
* Monitor service quality, compliance and performance against service level agreements.
* Support delivery of actions within the Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy 2022-2030.
* Provide timely, professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
* Report on service performance and prepare clear written and verbal updates for leadership.
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven frontline leadership experience in waste, cleaning, city presentation or similar operational environments.
* Strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety in operational settings.
* Knowledge of waste management, resource recovery and environmental compliance.
* Understanding of investigation processes and authorised officer powers relating to litter, illegal dumping and graffiti.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Qualifications & Requirements
o Tertiary qualifications in waste management, operations, safety, or related fields, or substantial relevant experience.
o Operational experience in a Council setting desirable.
o Current Medium Rigid driving licence.
