About the Role
Reporting directly to the Curtis Electrical Site Supervisor, you will:
* Work effectively in a small, hands-on team to meet client timeframes using available materials
* Interpret schematic drawings for installation, retrofit, and modification of PLCs, VSDs, switchboards, control panels, and data systems
* Work on (or be trained in) Alcoa’s HV network, including switchgear and powerline equipment
* Install and terminate data, LV, control, and HV cabling
* Undertake minor fabrication, including brackets, cable trays, supports, and modifications
* Install PVC and steel conduit to a high standard
* Assist with installation and connection of mining equipment (motors, pumps, substations, PLCs, etc.)
* Support shutdowns, testing, commissioning, and handover activities
* Operate company equipment (EWPs, scissor lifts, trucks, hiabs) as required
* Perform general electrical tasks including testing and tagging, installations, and minor repairs
* Comply with all site safety requirements, documentation, and permit systems
* Maintain accurate job records and test sheets in SimPro
Skills and Experience You Can Offer:

Requirements (Pre-Employment)
* Current A-Grade Electrical Licence
* Australian working rights (citizen or permanent resident)
* Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing
Desirable
* High Risk Licence (including EWP)
* Working at Heights certification
* Manual driver’s licence
* White Card
* Restricted AC Installer licence
* Basic welding and fabrication skills
Location & Roster
Alcoa Mining Operations at Huntly and Willowdale mine sites, along with other client sites across the Peel region.
The successful candidate must be willing to travel daily and attend the Waroona head office for meetings, training, and equipment collection.
Roster: 4–5 days per week, Monday to Friday.
