Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Support Workers.
As a Support Worker, you will be working with individuals who have complex needs, including sensory, physical, and intellectual disabilities.
Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks, while consistently promoting dignity and respect.
You will also be required to communicate effectively with customers, build meaningful connections, and adapt interactions to meet each individual's unique needs.
Other key responsibilities include:
* Assisting customers with all aspects of daily living – personal care, meal preparation, medication assistance and household tasks – while consistently promoting dignity and respect.
* Communicating and building meaningful connections with customers, adapting interactions to meet each individual's unique needs.
* Encouraging and taking part in daily activities, including dance classes, swimming, and various social events.
* Safely and confidently operating modified vehicles to transport participants to appointments, activities, and community outings.
* Following person-centred plans and assisting individuals in working towards their personal life goals.
* Maintaining accurate records of supports and services through timesheets, case notes, and incident reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications

* Knowledge and experience in Active Support and a willingness to learn.
* Valid driver's licence (essential).
* Certificate III in Disability/Individual Support (Disability) – desirable but not essential.
