About the role
WDHS is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Diabetes Educator who can provide comprehensive education services in a multi-disciplinary environment. The role involves working in acute and community settings with Type 1 & 2 diabetes and gestational diabetes. A credentialled Diabetes Educator is preferred, or an educator actively working towards credentialing.
Responsibilities and duties
This role includes identifying and implementing opportunities for quality improvement and service development to achieve a multi-disciplinary approach to diabetes management. Clinical responsibilities include delivering education, advising on management plans, and collaborating with allied health teams.
Qualifications and Competencies
AHPRA registration
5 years post-graduate experience
Strong clinical leadership
