Team Leader, Social Worker - Wellington and East Gippsland Area
We're looking for an experienced Team Leader, Social Worker to join us, based out of the Wellington and East Gippsland Area.

About the role
As a Team Leader – Social Workers at Youth Insearch, you will play an integral role in supporting at-risk young people through our peer-developed programs. You will provide management oversight of our integrated ‘youth hub’ comprising Social Workers, Youth Workers, and Peer Worker Trainees across the region.
This role will serve as a practice and operational lead for the region, responsible for the safe and effective delivery of Youth Insearch services across Wellington and East Gippsland. You will act as the first point of contact for your teams, working closely with the Regional Manager – Victoria. Your responsibilities include overseeing regional KPIs, ensuring positive experiences for young people, and fostering staff growth and development.
Key selection requirements
* Eligibility for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with vulnerable populations within a case management framework
* Supervisory experience, preferably in the child, youth, and family sector
* Extensive knowledge of challenges faced by young people (12-25) affected by trauma, including interventions such as mandatory reporting and risk assessments
* Strong communication skills with experience in developing community networks and increasing community engagement
* Sound risk assessment skills, including suicide risk, psychological distress, and mandatory reporting
* Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
* Ability to work autonomously with advanced practitioner-level skills
* Strong written skills and experience with case record management systems
* Unrestricted and valid Victorian driver’s license
