The opportunity for U
We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications and database solutions, with a strong focus on SQL development. You'll deliver secure, high-performing systems that support critical business applications, data integration, and analytics.
Join a global team in an Australian-based company, collaborating with colleagues in the UK and Vietnam. This is a 24-month fixed-term contract based in Sydney.
What U will do:
* Design scalable relational database solutions
* Develop and optimise SQL queries, procedures, and triggers
* Drive performance tuning and enforce database security
* Collaborate with engineers and architects for seamless integration
* Ensure data integrity, backups, and disaster recovery
* Mentor junior developers and maintain technical documentation
U will be someone with:
* 7–10 years in software development with strong database expertise
* Proven SQL skills and experience with RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
* Performance tuning and query optimisation expertise
* Strong problem-solving and collaborative development skills
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
Desirable skills and experience
* Experience with CI/CD and database automation
* Cloud database solutions (AWS RDS, Azure SQL)
* Previous experience in wealth administration technology
