Temporary Works Specialist Role
We are seeking a skilled Temporary Works Specialist to join our team and play a key role in delivering exceptional construction projects.
About the Position
This is an opportunity to utilize your technical expertise in the design, planning, and implementation of temporary structures used during construction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert advice on temporary works designs, including demolition works, temporary structural supports, propping, and falsework.
* Evaluate designs for impact on permanent structures, such as construction hoists, cranes, and scaffoldings.
* Collaborate with project managers, design managers, and delivery teams to ensure correct implementation of temporary works on-site.
Requirements:
* Degree or diploma in Structural Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 15 years of relevant industry experience, including expertise in temporary works like scaffolding, propping, crane bases, and structural supports.
* Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng).
* Conversant with structural engineering software, such as RAPT Structural Toolkit, SAP2000, and RamConcept.
* Ability to carry out manual calculations.
