This includes designing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly WAN, WLAN, LAN, and VoIP in an enterprise environment.
The Network Engineer is expected to have strong communication skills and requires a willingness to mentor others in both technical and soft-skill areas.
This position is for a go-getter who wants to help determine the enterprise-wide standards and then to drive the standards and strategy.BenefitsPaid Training & Ongoing Development – Invest in your career with fully paid initial and continuous training.Top-Tier Health Insurance – Choose from excellent options, including a FREE employee-only plan.Dental & Vision Coverage – Prioritize your overall health with added benefits.Supplemental Insurance Options – Access Accident, Critical Illness, Disability, and Supplemental Life coverage.FREE Life Insurance – Coverage equal to your annualized pay at no cost to you.401(k) Retirement Plan – Secure your future with a 50% match on the first 6% of your contributions.Generous Time Off – Recharge with 7 paid holidays, and Paid Time Off (PTO).CompensationMin Compensation: USD $73,000.00/Yr.Max Compensation: USD $99,000.00/Yr.ResponsibilitiesContributes to the design of short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets both current and future requirements, and leads the execution of those plans once approved.Contributes to the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure administration and project management.Collaborates with business units to develop IT strategies.Conducts research and recommends voice and data products, services, protocols, and standards to support infrastructure procurement and development.Deploys and maintains approved service level agreements (SLAs).Prepares RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other infrastructure project documentation.Negotiates with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure infrastructure-specific products and services.Manages the implementation of approved infrastructure projects.Assists with planning and deploying infrastructure security measures.Provides Tier 3 support for data network issues.Coordinates with consultants and vendors for advanced troubleshooting and network services, including supplemental project staffing.Manages daily network operations using performance monitors, packet sniffers, WAN optimization appliances, load balancers, and other tools.Coordinates enterprise-wide firewall management and collaborates with the cybersecurity team on audits and security initiatives.Creates and maintains network documentation, including configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.Performs peer-review technical analysis as required.Completes assigned tasks in a safe, accurate, thorough, and alert manner.Upholds Company policies and procedures.Works in a professional manner with managers, supervisors, coworkers, customers, and the public.Other related job duties as assigned.QualificationsBS/BA degree from a four-year accredited university or college in a technical discipline or demonstrated equivalent experience.Cisco CCNA certification required.Five+ years' experience with Cisco layer 2 and layer 3 switch configuration and administration as well as hands-on Cisco IOS routing, switching, and VLAN / ACL experience.Experience working in a US-based, team-oriented, collaborative environment.Previous experience in HVAC Industry or other service business preferred.Physical RequirementsContinuously able to work in an office environment.Continuously able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, telephone, and computer printer.Continuously able to sit at a computer for up to 8 hours.Able to alternate between sitting and standing, as needed throughout the day.Occasionally able to lift up to 15 lbs.Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking.Occasionally requires walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, and crouching.Rarely requires climbing.Other requirements:May be required to use a personal smartphone with a camera capable of reading a QR code for 2-factor authentication.
