TheEngagement Teamwithin CMTEDD is seeking an experienced and motivatedAssistant Director, Engagementto help lead whole-of-government (WHoG) engagement initiatives. In this role you will play a central role in strengthening how the ACT Government connects with the Canberra community. You will work across the ACT Public Service to improve engagement practices, foster cultural change, and embed a more consistent and responsive approach to community involvement.
You will contribute to the implementation of a refreshed whole-of-government Engagement Framework, support key strategic projects, and help deliver engagement governance across government.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: We are looking for a candidate with demonstrated experience in community engagement, communications and a strong understanding of government processes. You will bring excellent relationship management skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment. A collaborative approach, strong organisational skills, and a passion for improving how government engages with the community are essential.
* Tertiary qualifications in Engagement, Communications or a related field.
* Accreditation with the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2).
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of 12 months with the possibility of permanency.
