Nurse Unit Manager – Medical Imaging

Orange Health Service

About the role

An exciting new nursing leadership opportunity at Orange Health Service Medical Imaging

Are you a registered nurse ready to take the next step in your career? Looking for a fresh, dynamic role that offers professional growth, variety, and the chance to make a real difference? Orange Health Service Medical Imaging is introducing a new Clinical Nurse Manager role — and we're looking for someone just like you.

Join our friendly, motivated, and multidisciplinary team at Orange Health Service, where you'll play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their entire care journey — from initial diagnosis to life-saving interventional procedures. This newly created position offers a dynamic blend of clinical and non-clinical responsibilities, working closely with the Chief Radiographer to lead and support a dedicated team of highly skilled nurses in delivering exceptional, patient-centred care.

Why You'll love this role:

* Flexible work-life balance: Enjoy working Monday to Friday — no weekends or night shifts.
* Prior imaging experience beneficial but not essential: step into a new specialty with full training provided.
* Become an Interventional Radiology Nurse: gain skills across multiple modalities and clinical areas.
* Diverse clinical exposure: work in scrub & scout, recovery, and outpatient roles.
* Broad case mix: engage with procedures in hepatobiliary, urological, gastrointestinal, renal, lung, oncological, vascular, and pain management specialties.
* Opportunities to champion quality improvement and improve organisational performance.

About Orange Medical Imaging

* Provides both routine and emergency imaging services to inpatients and outpatients across the region.
* Part of the Western NSW Local Health District's Medical Imaging Business Unit (MIBU), benefiting from shared resources and integrated RIS and PACS systems.
* A collaborative, supportive environment focused on innovation, learning, and patient-centred care.

If you're ready to grow your leadership and clinical skills in a forward-thinking department, we'd love to hear from you.
