Secure Zone Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Secure Zone Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and secure management of our sites.
Your primary focus will be on day-to-day operations and compliance with secure zone protocols, including physical access management, contractor supervision, system monitoring, incident response, and enforcing security protocols.
In addition to your site-based responsibilities, you will contribute to broader ANZ physical security efforts, supporting projects, audits, awareness campaigns, and compliance initiatives.
As a successful candidate, you will be required to work independently on-site while working closely with key local stakeholders and the ANZ physical security team, reporting to the Australia and New Zealand Physical Security Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Access & Identity Management
o Issue and program access cards, including activation tracking
o Conduct new starter security inductions (access, PEDs, safes)
o Review access logs for anomalies or out-of-hours activity
* Security Operations & Monitoring
o Operate and monitor Access Control Systems and Video Management Systems
o Perform daily system health checks and device status reviews
o Conduct mobile phone audits and arming/disarming activity reviews
o Perform regular alarm system tests, panic button checks, and secure zone walkthroughs
o Act as first responder to security incidents and alarms, including after hours
o Investigate and report incidents using approved internal escalation procedures
* Compliance, Audit & Reporting
o Maintain and audit visitor logs, key registers, and secure containers
o Assist with internal and external (regulatory) compliance audits
o Identify procedural gaps or risks and propose improvements to the ANZ manager
* Stakeholder Support & ANZ Security Initiatives
o Supervise and escort contractors and service providers as required
o Liaise with IT, Facilities, and business units to support secure zone readiness
o Coordinate weekend power shutdowns and generator testing
o Act as local Fire Warden and emergency response contact
o Participate in simulated threat or penetration testing exercises
o Support security awareness campaigns and ANZ-wide project initiatives
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Australian Government Security Clearance
* A current ACT Security licence
* Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011 and HLTAID010) and CPR Certificate (HLTAID009)
* Experience in a similar role
* Demonstrate required IT knowledge of platforms and software
* Certificate or Degree in Security (IT or Management) or Business advantageous
* Ability to work autonomously and/or in a team
