Overview
About your new role. This role will be based out of the Toowong Workshop in Western Brisbane, working under the Bus Operations Team. You will be responsible for all general maintenance, construction and manufacturing of the council fleet.
Responsibilities
* Manufacturing, assembly and machining of parts and equipment from raw materials
* Cutting, drilling, welding & grinding of various materials to complete tasks inside estimated time frames
* Completing detail on requisitions for parts and materials required for jobs
* Other general administration duties related to your trade
* Supervise and train trade assistants and apprentices
* Experience with CNC/Lathe machining is ideal
What you will need to exceed
A commitment to safety and ensuring all machinery and operations are conducted according to guidelines and an interest in ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
* Australian or Australian Recognised Cert III in Engineering (Mechanical) or similar – Essential
* C class driver's license
* Full working rights
